The Bear Goju is an army unit of fifty kikori from the Emperor of Nihon-Ja .
The Bear Goju was led by Horace whose Nihon-Jan name (Kurokuma) means "black bear" also is a "term of great respect". This goju was one of the first to be used in battle along with the Hawk Goju which is led by Selethen.
The Bear Goju was one of the gojus trained by the Araluans and Selethen after they saw the Toscan Centuries training earlier in the story. The Toscans served as the inspiration for the Gojus.
