The Sonderland Raids were a series of attacks on the west coastline of Araluen launched by the Sonderlanders. The raidings greatly affected the designs of the castles of fiefs who's territories were hit, such as the Castle of Dacton Fief, which underwent a military design. It was the defensive designs that likely saved it, for it was at Castle Dacton that the raids ceased, the Sonderlanders having been given a "bloody nose" from the battle. Despite the Sonderlanders withdrawing attacks for the time being, Skandians remained a problem however.
