The Skirmish in the Drowned Forest was a short but crucial battle during the Insurrection of the Outsider Cult. During this battle, the two remaining Genovesan Assassins under Tennyson's pay, Bacari and Marisi, engaged in long-range combat with Rangers Halt and Will in an attempt to slaughter them and Horace Altman as they pursued Tennyson's party of acolytes. The battle resulted in Marisi's death and Bacari fleeing, but also with Halt injured by a crossbow bolt tipped with Aracoina poison, delaying the Task Force.
