Doric near-stripped Norgate's garrison dry to reinforce Castle Macindaw, only to find the castle under the control of Gundar Hardstriker and his crew. After an argument with Will and Horace, he agreed to their arrangements and lead a relief column north to the border with Picta, to ensure that the Scotti army had withdrawn from Araluen[2].
