A Jarl is a nobleman from Skandia. Some Jarls are the govenor of a town, some are a captain of a Wolfship and some just stay at the capital of Hallasholm. There are Junior Jarls with little power and Senior Jarls with lots of power.
If the Oberjarl,the leader of Skandia, dies, the Jarls elect a Senior Jarl to be the new Oberjarl.[1]
