Flanagan Wiki

All users should be familiar with the policies outlined here. Everyone is expected to comply with Flanagan Wiki rules, along with Wikia's policies.

Anyone found violating these rules will be disciplined by a staff member. Breaking the wiki's policy on spam and vandalism is completely unacceptable and users who do so will not be given a verbal warning before being punished. Severe and/or repeated ruled breaking will result in more severe punishments; this may include being permanently banned from the wiki.

The following policies are specific to this wiki. If you disagree with a policy, or would like a new one to be added, contact a member of staff.

  1. Know the policies and guidelines of the wiki.
  2. Respect everyone. Personal attacks and harassment will not be tolerated.
  3. Stealing is wrong. All images should be under Creative Commons by the creator and properly sourced in the description by the uploader using Template:Information. If the image is not under Creative Commons, it must either be unmistakably fair use (as with book covers) or permission for use must be given by the original creator (as with fanart).
  4. Mistakes are inevitable. When they occur, acknowledge it and take the necessary steps to correct it. Personal responsibility is a must. Remember that everyone here is a volunteer and serious mistakes might mean you've overwritten hours of someone's hard work.
  5. Discuss controversial changes in the talk page. It is easier to accept changes if the reasons for them are understood.
  6. Edit Summaries should be clear and transparent explanations of changes. Please state what you changed and why.
  7. Sourced Information should not be edited and replaced with incorrect or unsourced information. Ideally, all information should be sourced.
  8. Vandalism, spam, and trolling are unacceptable. This includes unsolicited or unauthorized advertising.
  9. Only Minor Profanity is allowed on the wiki, as per community consensus. "Hell" and "damn" are allowed, but nothing stronger. Their use is restricted to comment sections and user profiles. Offending comments should be reported to a staff member so they can be deleted.
