Members of the local group Bureaucrats, also known as Ranger Commandants are leaders of the wiki, with a full range of control over everything from User Rights to MediaWiki.
What Bureaucrats are able to do
- Block users.
- Unblock users (including themselves).
- Grant & revoke the following groups from users:
- Administrator
- Content Moderator
- Discussions Moderator
- Rollback
- Chat Moderator
- Grant, but not revoke, the following group to users:
- Bureaucrat
- Revoke, but not grant, the following group from users:
- Remove themselves from the Bureaucrat group.
How to become a Bureaucrat
After mutual agreement between the currently active Bureaucrats, as well as community discussion, a user will be promoted from the Administrator group to the rank of Bureaucrat, but only if they display activity, leadership, and responsibility enough for the role.
