Farrell is a leader of a faction of The Outsiders in The Kings of Clonmel.
History[]
At some unknown point in time, Farrell joined the Outsiders and eventually became a high-ranking member of the cult and presumably aided in the cult's undermining of six of the seven Hibernian kingdoms.
As the Outsiders prepared to assume full de facto leadership of the last kingdom, Clonmel, the cult's leader, Tennyson, planning to once again gain a foothold in Araluen (where the Outsiders had formerly been based and where members of the cult were still in hiding), sent Farrel and another lieutenant by the name of Barrett to re-establish the cult in two remote, isolated Araluen locations: Willey's Flat in the north and the independent fishing village of Selsey on the west coast. Placed in command of a small group of Outsiders, Farrell and the Outsider faction under his command made their way to Selsey, which, due to its isolation and close proximity to the Hibernia coastline, would make the perfect location for the Outsiders to return after they had assumed control of Clonmel, and began to undermine the fishing village. Halt, being the Ranger closest to the village goes to investigate and discovers what is going on. Farrell is deceiving the village using the methods usually employed the Outsiders. Halt sees through the man's facade quickly, having experience with the religious cult in previous years.
Halt later unmasks Farrell for who he really is, a bandit and thief. The villagers initially want to deal out justice to the man themselves but Halt takes him as prisoner, and gets a sworn statement of the Outsider's plan from him. He asks Halt "What are you doing here?", which surprises Halt because he is sure he has never met Farrell before.
