Delia was a young woman who lived in Seacliff Fief. She was the daughter of Edwina, and later married Steven, the ferrymaster's son.

Description[]

Delia was a pretty young woman with dark, close-cropped hair, wide-set green eyes[1], and a clear complexion.[2] She was friendly and polite, backing down in her pursuit of Will once she realized Alyss' interest in him.

History[]

The Sorcerer in the North[]

During Will's time at the island, Delia develops a friendship with the Ranger and has been implied to have a minor crush on him, though any hopes of a relationship are dashed when Alyss turns up at Seacliff and Delia realizes that there is something special between them. At Alyss' first appearance, Will is performing "Greybeard Halt" on his mandola and entertaining his new friend. Alyss, listening to their conversation, remarks that Halt had certainly found Will spending the night in the tree amusing, and the young Ranger is delighted to see her. Delia initially had a fair amount of jealousy towards the Courier, but didn't get between them and exits to give them privacy. As she heads back towards the inn, she bitterly mutters about how she should light "romantic candles" for them and wonders why she bothered offering the couple pie.

Will Treaty 9

Delia, like many girls, has a crush on Will

The Siege of Macindaw[]

There are hints that Will may have had feelings for Delia as he seems disappointed when he finds out at the end of Book 6 she is married to the ferryman's son, Steven.
