Caslte Gorlan was the center of Gorlan Fief and the headquarters of its baron: Morgarath. After Morgarath's exile, it fell into ruin.
History[]
It appears in the Ruins of Gorlan, taking centre stage as the scene of the climax, a showdown between the Kalkara and Will and Halt .
In the Lost Stories, it appears in the Hibernian in all its splendor and majesty before it was destroyed several months prior to the war. The majority of the staff of Castle Gorlan fled with their lord to the Mountains of Rain and Night and included Captain Teezal, Foldar, Trask and Stott.
Description[]
Before it was destroyed, it was said to have rivaled even Castle Araluen in beauty and its magnificent architecture, being a graceful and elegant building but still well defensible and a powerful stronghold.
Now, it is ruined and destroyed. It played a notable part in the first book in which Halt faces against Kalkara commanded by Morgarath.
