Caitlyn's Ranger brother, Halt
Princess Caitlyn O'Carrick was King Sean's mother, Halt and Ferris O'Carrick' younger sister, Pauline DuLacy's sister-in-law and the Princess of the Hibernian Kingdom of Clonmel. She was the only one Halt confided in when Ferris was trying to kill him, under the explanation that his parents wouldn't have believed him if he had tried to tell them, showing the affection between them. Caitlyn eventually married and had a son named Sean, who would go on to become the now-King Ferris's steward before eventually succeeding Caitlyn's brother to the throne. Caitlyn died some years prior to The Kings of Clonmel.

Halt[]
Caitlyn and Halt obviously had a close sibling bond, Caitlyn being the only person Halt confided Ferris's attempt to murder him to due to their parents likely not believing him if he attempted to tell them. Caitlyn also most likely knew of Halt's training with Pritchard, given the level of trust between the brother and sister. Though unconfirmed, given how much trust Halt put in her and given that Halt knew that Caitlyn had died after giving birth to a child, he and Caitlyn may have continued to have contact after Halt left Clonmel. Though it is unknown when Caitlyn died, her death may have been what prevented her from attending her brother's marriage to Pauline DuLacy, her sister-in-law. Halt was obviously saddened by his sister's death and, though unconfirmed, given Halt's low opinion of Ferris, it is possible that it was his inability to see his sister or invite her to his wedding that was the source of the sadness mentioned by Pauline that stemmed from Halt's long estrangement from his family.[3]
Ferris[]
Ferris, Caitlyn's second oldest sibling and her son's predecessor to the throne.
Though their relationship is never explored, Caitlyn and Ferris might not have been very close and Caitlyn's feelings for him might have darkened after he forced Halt out of Clonmel after attempting to assassinate him. However, though unconfirmed, it is possible Ferris might have taken Sean in after Caitlyn died, potentially out of regret for being the cause of or never attempting to end the possibly hostility that may have simmered between the two after Halt's departure. Given that, apart from Ferris and Caitlyn, Halt makes no mentioning of siblings, it is likely that Caitlyn was third in line to the Clonmel throne after Halt and Ferris.
Sean[]
Little is known of Sean and Caitlyn's relationship, but it was most likely a good one before her death, as Sean appears to have cared for her. It is currently unknown if Sean's father is still alive.
