Come to Castle Bannock at noon tomorrow. That's what the emissary had said. Was I in trouble? The only person I knew who had been to the castle was my friend Ida, but she was the daughter of a maid there, so that didn't really count. My line jerked, taking me with it, out of my thoughts. I had a bite! I pulled it up and saw a small fish about the size of my hand. I let out a groan of disappointment. I was trying to catch dinner for myself, not for Pine, my cat. . . .
